Qualified to install flooring in luxury homes

In the last few weeks our flooring installation teams have been busy installing high quality flooring inside several luxury homes across the Cheshire region.  When it comes to larger, grand properties, even greater attention to detail is required as there’s little forgiveness across bigger areas.  That’s not to say we don’t deliver the very best service to all the homes we fit flooring in, of course we do.  It’s just that larger homes can highlight the absolute smallest of faults.

Preparation is key
In all the flooring installations we do, before we start laying flooring, we always carry out a full inspection of the sub-floor and make sure it is properly treated before any underlay or floorcovering goes on top.  In the case of concrete sub-floors, where there are signs of damp or to protect any areas that could become damp, we apply a damp proof resin membrane to protect the flooring for the future.  This is especially important when it comes to installing moisture sensitive flooring, such as Ted Todd engineered hardwood.

A quality finish must be the only finish
When rooms are large or staircases wide and the choice of carpet comes in smaller widths, a perfect seam is necessary, requiring the utmost precision.  Likewise, if rooms have pillars, large doorway casings or any other detail around which carpet or flooring is to be laid, attention to detail is crucial for the very best finish.  Neat, tight edges with carpet and perfectly laid design borders with Karndean or Amtico make a huge difference to the final finish.

Extra design detail around units makes a striking impact and looks expertly finished.

Work in larger homes must be done quickly yet professionally, despite there being more to do, it could be a case of working to a schedule in line with other parts of the home being designed and decorated.  We are able to make sure the flooring is installed in the quickest time without compromising on the quality of the installation.

Working with other teams
It’s often the case with luxury properties, that it’s not the client you are directly working with.  We work alongside many interior designers for example, who from the start see us to talk about their client needs and select the right colours, textures and styles for their clients’ homes.  Or it could be a builder, or property developer, working to a specification the client has already agreed and together we need to deliver the final finish for the client.  In these situations, we need to be flexible in terms of what we can do, when, as well as making sure we communicate throughout the project so nothing gets missed and any part of the build delayed.

High quality flooring choice
What makes us a popular go-to flooring company for larger flooring installations is not just our high-quality installation service, but also the large choice of flooring we have available.  From carpet in large metre widths and long plank sizes to cover bigger areas, to luxurious textures such as faux silk, we have a choice that accommodates all budgets and looks impressive in the most prestigious homes.

If you own a large home and require new flooring for multiple rooms or across a large area, give us a call for a free, no obligation survey where we can talk about the type of flooring you want.  If you work with an Interior Designer or Property Developer, share our details and we can happily discuss your project with them at our Knutsford Design Centre, one of the largest independent flooring showrooms in the North West.
