Super soft high shine carpets from Westex that are affordable
The super soft carpet trend is huge right now with faux silk carpets proving incredibly popular in homes. They’re perfect for bedrooms, for lounges and snugs but they’re also quite expensive. So, it’s refreshing to see this new offering from Westex with their Elysian carpet. It’s a super soft, high shine polypropylene made with advanced SilkTex technology. While it’s not quite an actual faux silk, it has all the softness, shine and vac lines of one. The Elysian carpet collection comes in 2 different qualities and a choice of 5 widths. The greater choice of carpet widths allows for reduced waste, which can make a big difference to the overall price of your carpet fitting!

The Westex Elysian carpet seen here, a great alternative to the more expensive faux silks on the market. The carpet in this image is the Celestial quality, colour Kobicha which we installed in this bedroom and dressing room in Knutsford.
Wool carpets from FloorLove that won't break the bank
Everyone knows the benefits of having a wool carpet. From their comfort to their warmth. Wool carpets help regulate the temperature of a room, keeping them warmer in winter and cooler in the summer months. Not only that but they also provide effective sound insulation and bring an extra sense of safety with their flame retardant properties. With wool being 100% natural, you can feel confident you’re making a sustainable, environmentally friendly flooring choice. The only problem with many wool carpets is the price of them. Until now…
Introduced by Brockway Carpets a couple of years ago, the FloorLove collection of 100% and 80% wool carpets are a fraction of the price of other wool carpets out there. There’s a great selection on offer too, from twist and loop varieties to plain and heather carpet styles. A great product offering affordable luxury, we’ve fitted quite a few FloorLove wool carpets across homes in Cheshire since they launched.

The new Amtico First LVT collection offers outstanding value for money
An exciting launch earlier this year saw the arrival of Amtico First on the market. This brings a total of 5 different collections to the Amtico LVT flooring offering. And what makes Amtico First different is its position as an entry point, affordable choice of LVT. It makes a great first floor for people doing home improvements or renovations. The floor has a 0.3mm wear layer, is incredibly versatile and all the colours are unique with the exception of one wood: Classic Oak. In general, you’ll find lighter, fresher, warm wood tones in the collection with all the woods and stones coming in one plank or tile size.
Parquet is an option too, with eight of the woods coming in a new larger 4x18” parquet size. A larger parquet tile was chosen for the collection as Amtico have found larger parquet formats are more popular with customers. So, with Amtico First, you can be assured that all the on-trend floor styles are included!
Amtico First is a premium floor without the premium cost – its affordable price tag makes it much more accessible to those who want a hardwearing, stylish LVT floor. And you can see the new Amtico First LVT flooring in our Knutsford showroom – here’s a glimpse of the display stand.
Affordable engineered wood floors with Ted Todd Project
It’s no doubt that engineered wood floors come with a premium price tag. But there are options for a high-quality engineered wood floor at a more affordable price. And Ted Todd have this covered with their Project collection. The Project collection makes the perfect first wood floor for homes. With 16 different wood tones highlighting the natural characteristics of wood, there’s ample choice from light to dark wood tones. But not only that, Project floors come in 4 different specifications too: plank, wide plank, extra wide plank and narrow herringbone.
Style, sustainability, quality and more importantly, affordability are what you can expect from the Ted Todd Project wood floors collection.

You can see here the Ted Todd Project Petworth floor in the extra wide planks which we installed in our customer’s garage conversion in Mobberley. The extra wide planks come with a generous 4mm wear layer.
Jacaranda Chennai wool carpets are luxurious yet surpisingly affordable
When you think of Jacaranda Carpets, you can only think of luxury. Sadly, when we think of luxury, we also immediately think expensive. But Jacaranda has a collection of handwoven wool carpets which are surprisingly affordable. And that’s Chennai. The collection is small, with only 7 neutral colours on offer (in 4m widths), all of which are incredibly versatile. But it’s a beautiful handmade cut pile carpet made from 100% pure wool with a lovely thick, cosy texture thanks to its combination of low loops and tip-sheared surface.
Practical, versatile and very stylish, you really can get a luxury carpet for a pinch of the price with Jacaranda Chennai.

We installed the Jacaranda Chennai carpet in colour Ammonite as seen here in the lounge space of this Cheshire countryside home. Soft, undyed wool makes the perfect carpet for any cosy bedroom or lounge setting.
